Job description

PSR are recruiting for a Project Manager to join one of the largest and widely respected contractors in the UK who undertake schemes of £100m +. With an exciting pipeline of future projects you will have the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most exciting and prestigious building projects.

The role is on a £300m research & development centre that will be one of the most sophisticated in Europe, you will effectively and professionally assist the day to day construction management on the project, including, procurement, installation and commissioning.

Role:
  • Oversee sub-contractors, labour and material requirements for the contract and support Project Managers with matters primarily relating to on site activities
  • Ensure all works are carried out with statutory regulations, current standards and company quality assurance procedures
  • Ensure good communications within the project team, manage any construction supervisors, students or trainees in the project team. This includes supervising, conducting appraisals and assisting with development issues
  • Assist in understanding the design process and report to project manager/design team any design anomalies
  • Solve site problems when they occur, providing feedback to Project Managers
  • Ensure good record keeping and work closely with the relevant commercial package managers to ensure close control of commercial packages


Experience:
  • Experience as a Project Manager in the Pharmaceutical arena and examples of targets reached and how, involvement in quality procedures
  • High end medical fit out Laboratory experience is essential for this role
  • Knowledge of current construction practices and safety on site
