Position: Project Manager - £14M New build

Salary: £71,500 - 78,500 + Car / Car allowance + Pension + Health

Region: Southen-on-sea, Essex

Industry: Construction

My client is seeking a Project Manager to be based on a £14m Design & Build scheme in Essex. The organisation is a main building contractor who has a reputation in delivering high quality schemes ranging from £5M to £40M in value. The company carry out work across all sectors; however their reputation is strong in the sector of Retail/ Industrial/ Distribution & Mixed use projects.

This company offers a good salary and benefits and has a strong forward order book; the business is well respected and has proven sustainable success.

  • Proven Project Management experience on a similar sized scheme
  • Comfortable being the main point of contact with the client/sub-contractors on site
  • Responsible for quality of workmanship in all areas on site
  • Responsible for productivity on site
  • Promote a high health & safety awareness throughout the site
  • Relevant administrator to be collated and appropriate site records to be maintained
  • Regular liaison with sub-contractors on site
  • Co-ordination of sub-contractors
  • Control of works on site in conjunction with other members of site management team
  • Control of plant hire and maintenance
  • Commercial awareness and control on site
  • Awareness of programme constraints and driving works to meet targets

Candidate Profile:
  • Construction background
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Significant supervisory experience
  • Able to maintain a positive and safe working environment for site based staff
