The Company

I have an exciting new opportunity for an Assurance Manager to join a highly reputable Contractor in the North West.

Specialising across a range of different disciplines including Civil Engineering, Build and Rail and a turnover approaching £500M. You will be joining a well-established contractor who have delivered Major Projects throughout the UK with an unrivalled pipeline of work throughout 2019 and beyond.

As the Rail Assurance Manager, You will:
  • Provide advice and guidance to the HSEQ team/Project Management team in reviewing and maintaining Health, Safety Environmental and Quality Plans in line with the Construction Design Management Regulations 2015. This includes advice in risks and proposed methods of working.
  • Ensuring all Health and safety professionals within the business are fulfilling roles and responsibilities.
  • Engage with contractors, ensuring co-operation and co-ordination of work planning and scheduled site activities.
  • Undertake site inspections with HSEQ Representatives from the Client and Contractors.
  • Ensure Accidents and Incidents are records and statistics are maintained and preparing a monthly report on the Rail Departments HSEQ performance.
  • Act as liaison with Network Rail, ORR, HSE, EA etc. on general project wide issues.
  • Keeping up to date with legislation through reading, obtaining material through update services and attending seminars etc
  • Produce and review KPI material for rail frameworks.
  • Support the site teams in dealings with outside parties such as the Client Safety Representatives, HSE, ORR, Local EHO etc.
  • Attend internal and external assurance meetings.

Key Skills Required:
  • Chartered - IOSH
  • 5+ Years' experience within the Rail Sector (Desirable)
