Your Role
  • The Quantity Surveyor will provide commercial support to project teams
  • Maintaining commercial information
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
  • Liaise with customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues
  • Variations, Claims and Additional Payments.


Your Responsibilities:
  • Reporting
  • Ensure robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting
  • Ensure accurate cash flow reporting
  • Carry out cost management and forecasting
  • Actively seek to improve processes and procedures
  • Help ensure that any main contracts entered into have terms and conditions that are appropriate for the business
  • Identify commercial risks
  • Build and maintain good client relationships


You will have:
  • Previous experience of the construction industry
  • A HND/degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
  • Familiarity with ICE/NEC forms of contract and knowledge
  • An understanding of Construction Law
  • Previous experience of commercial management and procurement of subcontractors
  • The ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting
  • Knowledge and experience in estimation and cost analysis
  • Excellent communication, numeric and computer literacy skills
  • A Membership of RICS or other relevant professional body
  • CSCS card
