Job description

Main purpose of role:

Accountability and responsibility for developing and implementing the client's requirements management process to assist with exemplar delivery by the joint venture. That is; the design and construction work is delivered to meet the program, quality and budget requirements of HS2 and my client, including demonstrable compliance with the CRT (project requirements).



Key responsibilities and duties:

Role specific
  • Preparation of the Client's Requirements Management Plan (RMP), including processes for compliance with HS2's requirements, development of detailed project requirements if required to assist with compliance, and implementation processes to demonstrate compliance with these requirements
  • Coordination of the Joint venture team and supply chain, including designers and construction contractors, to ensure the processes for demonstration of compliance with the CRT are clear and simple
  • Resource planning of the project's requirements team (if required) and ensuring the supply chain is adequately resourced, including identifying skills deficiencies in the supply chain
  • Responsible for ensuring the designers and sub-contractors are progressively complying with the requirements and that adequate assurance evidence is provided
  • Follow up with HS2 on the acceptance of requirements compliance documentation and management of the close out of comments raised.
  • The Project Requirements Management Plan (RMP) shall include procedures and processes for managing compliance with the Contract Requirements Technical (CRT) and Undertakings and Assurances as required. This will be achieved through the verification and validation of the design and construction for the Enabling Works Contract, on a package by package basis.
  • DOORS software shall be used to demonstrate compliance and it is the intention for the Joint Venture to use HS2's instance of DOORS. The Project Requirements Manager shall implement this with HS2 and the Joint Ventures Supply Chain.
