Position: Senior Commercial Manager

Salary: £95,000 - 110,000 Basic salary + Car / Car allowance + Pension + Health

Region: West London based

Industry: Construction (Commercial - Shell & core incl. Fit-out works)



My client is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager. To be based on a £110M Commercial project in West London. Reporting directly into a Regional Commercial Director.

The organisation is a main building contractor who has a reputation in delivering high quality schemes ranging from £30M to £150M in value. The company carry out work across all sectors; however their reputation is strong in the sectors of Commercial/ Education/ Mixed-use/ Residential & Hotels.

This company offers a good salary and benefits and has a strong forward order book; the business is well respected and has proven sustainable success.

Duties
  • Manage and develop the commercial team, ensuring workload is covered effectively and to ensure compliance and processes are being followed
  • Ensure that commercial and administrative systems, budgets and cost control procedures are utilised
  • Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers
  • Produce/ compile accurate forecasts/ budget information and produce accurate reports to client, maintaining and improving client relations as well as ensuring full entitlement under the contract is achieved
  • Ensure contract commercial deliverables and timescales are met
  • Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks



Candidate Profile:
  • Holder of a Full Driving Licence
  • Holds the relevant qualifications (e.g. Degree in Quantity Surveying)
  • Experience in running major project schemes as a lead (Circa £80M+)
  • Experience within a similar role (2-5 years minimum at Commercial Manager level)
  • Experience of identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbally with clients, colleagues and the public)
  • Good organiser and ability to prioritise
