Your Company

One of the Midlands most successful Tier 1 companies are looking to expand both their work winning and production teams with the addition of a Senior Planner.

With group turnover just under £1bn their Midlands team currently have 12 schemes across the region and are looking to tender against the majority of major schemes in the next 3 years.

Your Next Role

My client are recruiting for a Senior Planner to join their Midlands team. The role is part office based and part site based on projects across the region.
  • Agreeing subcontractor programmes
  • Analysing sites & local environments to determine appropriate logistics solutions and resources
  • Attending and presenting at client interviews
  • Liaising with the rest of Project Team throughout the process & adjusting programmes as fit
  • Monitoring progress throughout the entirety of the programme
  • Preparation of design, procurement and construction programmes using Asta Powerproject
  • Preparing detailed programmes
  • Preparing logistics plans and phasing layouts, using Powerpoint and Google Sketch-up
  • Recording relevant events for potential entitlement claims
  • Reporting findings, and recommending solutions to recover delays
  • Scheduling labour, selecting of major plant and access equipment
  • Writing method statements


Your Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrable experience in contract and tender planning.
  • Experience in using; Asta Powerproject, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment or as an individual.
  • Ideally Degree qualified, minimum qualification to HNC, HND level.
  • Knowledge and practice in 3D/4D modelling.
  • Knowledge in MS Project and Primavera (preferred but not essential).
