Position: PLANNER

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Car / Car allowance + Pension + Health

Are you an experienced construction Planner looking for a new exciting role?

You will join the business as part of the pre-construction team on the preparation of tender packages, this includes programme, prelims, site layouts & logistics, scaffold schedule & access plans, method statements, tender interviews and client meetings.

The organisation is a national main building contractor who has a reputation in delivering high quality schemes ranging from £5M to £15M. The company carry out work across all sectors; however their reputation is strong in the sector of Industrial, Education and retail.

You will be involved in managing both Pre-Construction and Construction Planning.

Duties will include.
  • Compiling the tender programme using Asta power point on a diverse range of projects types between £3m and £15m in value. Must have experience of working in a very busy environment on 2 - 3 schemes at any one time.
  • Preparing project logistics plans - location of fencing/hoarding, accommodation, crane, lay down area and traffic routes.
  • Preparing project preliminaries (site running costs) with some assistance from Contracts Manager on proposed supervision levels Including obtaining quotations for specialist equipment - tower crane, fixed scaffold, hoists.
  • Working closely with the Contracts Managers and Estimators and accustomed to meeting tight deadlines.
  • Attending tender interviews with clients and consultants and giving presentations as appropriate.
  • Attending tender adjudication meetings with the Directors team and the proposed delivery team.
