My client is seeking a Lead Senior Project Manager. The organisation is a very successful main building contractor that operate on a regional basis;

The company has a reputation in delivering high quality schemes ranging from £5M to £80M. The company carry out work across all sectors; however their reputation is strong in the sectors of Industrial, Commercial, Health, Pharmaceutical and Retail.

As the Senior Project Manager you would have 100% ownership of project delivery, being responsible for planning & programming, design coordination, value engineering, health & safety, technical expertise with respect to the project. You will be the focal point of contact to the client.

Duties:

Tender Stage
  • Evaluation of Employers Requirements
  • Value Engineering Assessment
  • Selection of Subcontractors for issue of enquiries
  • Analysis of subcontractor returns in terms of price and compliance
  • Meeting with client and design team when appropriate
  • Review of the Tender Stage Health and Safety Plan
  • Attends internal tender review meetings
  • Input into the risk register (either as a team when required)
  • Attend client presentations when required


Construction Stage
  • Responsible the selection of subcontractors
  • Review and approve the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan
  • Production of Contract Programme and short term programmes
  • Overall responsibility for production and commercial success of the project
  • Chairing of internal and external meetings
  • Production of internal and external reports
  • Overall responsibility for the management of health and safety
  • Ensuring the implementation of the company management procedures
  • Monitoring of project performance throughout its duration in terms of progress, commercial status, health and safety and overall 'team' performance
  • 'Troubleshooting' across all disciplines as and when the need arises
  • Management of the design team
  • Design Management
  • Review of the design and drawings.
  • Value Engineering
  • Monitor and Assess the Information Required Schedule and Procurement Schedule
  • Liaison with the client teams, and external organisations
  • Enhancing the Contractors profile within the community- Considerate Constructors


Post Construction
  • Monitoring and scoring of subcontractor performance
  • Ensuring any snags are rectified in a timely manner - along with the aftercare team
  • Ensuring health and safety files are complete at handover
  • Internal post construction review to identify 'learning's'






The Candidate
  • Build background
  • Worked on Multi Million pound projects as a number one
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Significant supervisory experience
  • Able to maintain a positive and safe working environment for site based staff
