Job description

A high grossing main contractor specialising in new build and refurbishment is seeking to attract a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

Due to recent expansion and upcoming projects they are looking to recruit a Project Quantity Surveyor that will be looking for a new fresh challenge. This role will be suitable for a driven individual looking for career development and that wants to be a part of a exciting new venture with lots of high profit potential.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support with and take responsibility, managing daily commercial management functions, including but not limited to; measurement & valuations, applications for payment, reconciling accounts, dealing with sub-contract orders and enquiries, through to practical completion of the project and settling final accounts.

Desirable Experience

  • Good knowledge of JCT contracts for D&B projects.
  • Strong track interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, along with the clear experience of running projects as Senior Quantity Surveyor on site.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor on Construction projects more than £4m.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and previous experience procuring subcontractors.
  • Adept with achieving projected profit on large construction projects.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management from a recognised institution at 2:1 or better.
