Key Experience

  • Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or relevant qualification and experience.
  • Previous civil engineering, groundwork or infrastructure experience (build project experience an advantage but not essential).
  • Working on projects from pricing through to final accounts.
  • Procurement and management of subcontractors
  • Previous Main Contracting and / or Sub Contractor experience.

The Role

The regional Commercial Manager is looking to take on a #2 to manage a portfolio of Central London projects, which will range from £700,000 to £17 million.

Working on Central London New Build, Commercial and Mixed Use projects; you will oversee a team delivering civil engineering and groundworks on prestigious London projects.

Reporting into the Commercial Manager, key aspects of your role will include:
  • Managing and mentoring a team delivering a portfolio of projects;
  • Procurement of suppliers and sub-subcontractors;
  • Ensure robust Cost Control & Budget Management;
  • Managing monthly/periodically application for payment information;
  • Developing effective working relationships with members of the client, senior management and project team;
  • Identification and valuation of variations;
  • Implementation & management of change control procedures;
  • Preparation and issuance of contractual notices;
  • Compiling and reviewing financial reporting for projects;
  • Issuing contractual correspondence;
  • Understanding of risk and identifying the implications of actions taken by yourself and the project team;
