Senior Site Manager

My client is both a progressive and ambitious business who are looking to expand their regional team in the West Midlands.

The company are a large construction and infrastructure business who operate nationally via a number of regional offices.

They will successfully deliver an array of construction projects to both private and public sector clients across a range of markets - Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Defence, Leisure and Residential. Values typically will range between £5m and £30m in value.

They are looking to appoint a Senior Site Manager to join their team in Birmingham.

The role is to report to the site-based project manager and act as the number two on a £30m Educational project in Birmingham. The project will include both new build and refurbishment elements, a phased programme within a live school environment.

The Senior Site Manager will be responsible for safety, coordinating site teams and sub-contractors, site logistics, short term programming and ensuring that a quality build is delivered on time and within budgets. You will have responsibility for chairing progress, design and safety meetings and deputies where necessary for the project manager.
  • Experience of delivering large construction projects with values ranging between, £10M-£20M - experience of educational projects an advantage
  • Hold a strong level of Safety Knowledge
  • Good Design and Planning Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Ability manage and motivate the teams

Applicants should hold a degree / equivalent within a construction related discipline and relevant safety qualifications.
