Job description

PSR Solutions are working with a specialist civil engineering sub-contractor to recruit a Site Manager. The full-time role will report to a Contracts Manager, with a growing order book working on schemes within mainly within Yorkshire.

Projects will centre around civils and infrastructure, including junction improvements, new road construction, groundworks packages and externals.

Key Duties:

  • Problem solving, solving issues and problems on site and pushing the programme forward
  • Programme management - pushing to meet delivery dates.
  • Management of an on-site Engineer, assisting with checks and mentoring.
  • Daily communication with Contracts Manager/ Client
  • Health and safety site management
  • Site paperwork including RAMS, pricing documentation and orders
  • Work directly with the ops manager to price new work and upcoming schemes

The Individual:

  • CSCS qualified
  • Experience/ knowledge of civil groundworks projects, ideally roads, sewers, 278 works, kerbing, road construction, deep drainage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and keep organised.
  • MUST be commercially aware of site costings i.e materials, plant, labour
  • IT literate, comfortable learning and taking on new training
  • Exceptional people skills; able to listen and work with a team as well as delegate to a team
  • Eager to progress, learn and willing to undertake training and development
