Job description

Role Overview: I'm currently recruiting for a Technology Commissioning Engineer (CCTV)to work on Highways England's flagship Smart Motorways Programme.The project will involve widening and delivering technology infrastructure solutions to the M1 between Jct 23a and Jct 25 in Nottinghamshire and is likely to be valued at approximately £75m for the 12km stretch of improved motorway.



The Technology Commissioning Engineer (CCTV) will be responsible for planning, executing and documenting of commissioning and handover activities on projects and programme of works in a safe manner, fully in accordance with statutory, industry wide, systems, procedures and specifications



Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up and commissioning of CCTV equipment
  • Preparation and review of commissioning and handover documentation
  • Operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Troubleshooting, attending to callouts, snagging, defect investigation and resolution, sampling
  • General liaison with key project staff
  • Financial control of the technology works
  • Supplier management
  • Management of Trainee / Junior Staff


Experience and Qualifications:
  • HNC/HNC in Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience in Highways Technology commissioning
