Labourer Roles and Responsibilities
- Assisting with various construction tasks including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
- Operating basic tools and machinery to support skilled tradespeople on-site.
- Ensuring the work site is clean, organised, and free from hazards.
- Following health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all workers.
- Loading and unloading materials from delivery trucks.
- Performing basic maintenance of equipment and tools.
- Assisting in the setup and tear down of scaffolding and other temporary structures.
Labourer Requirements
- Physical fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects, perform physical labour for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous labourer or construction experience is preferred but not required.
- Safety awareness: Familiarity with health and safety protocols in construction environments.
- Team player: Willingness to work collaboratively with other team members.
- Valid certification/license: (e.g., CSCS card or relevant qualification, if required for the job).
- Punctuality and reliability: Strong work ethic and the ability to adhere to project time lines.
