Joiner
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials according to specifications.
- Install fixtures, fittings, doors, windows, and other wooden structures in residential and commercial properties.
- Assemble and secure frameworks, furniture, and other wooden products using joinery techniques and tools.
- Repair and maintain existing wooden structures, ensuring they meet safety standards and client expectations.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and building plans to execute joinery tasks with precision.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar carpentry role.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, such as saws, chisels, and drills.
- Strong understanding of wood properties, joinery techniques, and construction materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- NVQ Level 2
