Job description

My client, an internationally renowned Architect is overseeing a prestigious and unique development in Sandbach. They are seeking two general foreman to carry out a variety of works on site.

This is not your usual site and you will seriously clock up the miles as the development covers over 20 acres, and takes in rough terrain. It goes without saying that you will need to be physically fit to be considered.

You need to have come from a trades background, ideally carpentry. You will be expected to manage a team of trades personnel whilst also carrying out your own works. Tools of the trade for this role will be an Impact Driver, Circular Saw and Tape Measure to start with. This role will really test you, and bring you out of your comfort zone in terms of working practices, site set up and end product. A chance to work with this Architect outside of the Capital hardly ever happens.

You will be expected to role your sleeves up and get your 'hands dirty' so if you prefer sitting back and making lists this is not the role for you. If on the other hand you like to cross things off that list, whilst still having a bit of supervision of others then this is for you. Along with this you will need to be driven to get the build finished and over the line, adapting your role as time goes on.

For this role you will need to be in possession of:

  • Valid CSCS card
  • Own tool kit
  • SSSTS and First Aid are desirable.
