A small thank you to our temporary workers

Every year PSR gives something back to its force of temporary workers as a simple way of saying thank you for their commitment, hard work and quality in work. 

This year our way of appreciation was no different, hosting a Christmas Temps night out at the Zen Metro Bar in Birmingham, with food and drink throughout the night on us!

Thoughts on how the West Midlands and the construct industry will be affected by Brexit

A deal to leave the EU is closer than ever before, but how the overall outcome leaves the UK and its economy is of most concern to the UK public. 

Like all sectors, the construction industry could suffer hugely from leaving the European Union, with the industry relying heavily on skilled and unskilled workers from Europe and the importing and exporting of materials.

Here is what some industry professionals had to say on the matter:

‘I’m not concerned at all because we don’t know what’s going to happen yet, so it’s all theoretical. Can you plan for it? No you can’t. The way I look at it is we have to do something about it when we know what we’ve got to do about it.’

‘I’m just a bit sceptical of where it’s going to go in the new year but I’m just hopeful that PSR can maintain the workload and keep me in work because that’s my priority, to earn money and to continue working.’

‘I believe the world will come to our aid in terms of financing the projects of the future and at the moment it’s a bit sticky but I’m sure it will become clearer in the near future’.
