PSR’s highlights of 2016

The start of a new year is the perfect time to look back and evaluate the year gone by, we’re taking stock of 2016 and reviewing some of our favourite milestones of the year …

January

PSR International opens Dubai office

2016 started in a big way for PSR with the opening of our first overseas office. PSR International opened the doors to its MENA targeted construction recruitment office in the heart of the Dubai business district, DMCC. A year later the team is going from strength to strength, working with some of the Middle East’s leading construction companies.

June

London office moved to larger premises at the Barbican

Having outgrown their previous office, the London team relocated to prestigious new offices close to the Barbican at 140 Aldersgate Street. The new offices offer improved facilities and a fantastic work environment for our city-based recruitment specialists.

July

PSR scoops prestigious Professional Services of the Year award

In July 2016 we were delighted to attend the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce Business Awards  and bring home an award for Professional Services of the Year! This award was significant for us as it recognised the level of service that we offer as well as how we run our business, by considering elements such as leadership, management, staff development and CSR.

Significant new appointments for Civils and FM sections

July also saw two new section heads join the Midlands team at head office. Richard Lofthouse was appointed to lead strategic grown across PSR’s Civils & Infrastructure, M&E and Residential sectors whilst Sam Norton brought significant experience and enthusiasm to the Facilities Management desk.

August

£multimillion relocation and refurb of Head Office

An exciting change for PSR came in August with the much anticipated completion of Prospect House. This restored Georgian Manor house, of which MD James Sanders was keen to retain many original features, is now home to the growing Midlands team and serves as an ideal location for the wider Midlands regions, the North and North West territories with its excellent connections via road and rail.  Offering unrivalled comfort and facilities, including a games room, it was imperative that the new offices were scalable to support our 10-yr plan of achieving £100m turnover and growth to 150 staff.

September

Supercharging recruitment careers with People Development

In order to offer our clients and candidates the very best levels of service, we believe that it is really important to operate a continual programme of professional development for every member of our team.  Regardless of entry level, each PSR employee enjoys access to in-house specialist training from newly appointed head of People Development, Frances Petrini.

Launch of Customer Charter and Q3 Net Promoter Scores

Setting out 4 key promises to our customers, we launched our Customer Charter. The Charter ensures a minimum set of standards that our organisation adheres to in order to maintain a consistent level of service to candidates and clients alike. We ran our first Net Promoter Score exercise and were delighted to achieve a rating of ‘Excellent’ with a score of 59.

A brand-new look and feel

 

We all know how much better we feel about ourselves with a makeover. October for us saw the launch of our new brand image with a cleaner logo to support our mission of becoming the national and international recruiter of choice for the construction industry.

 

 

 

Brand-new customer-focussed recruitment website

The new branding was launched simultaneously with a brand-new recruitment focussed website for the UK and for PSR International too. Several months of planning and research went into optimising the site so that it serves our clients and candidates in a much more efficient way than its predecessor. Visitors to the site are now able to navigate much more swiftly through our jobs, corporate information and blogs than ever before. It is now possible to apply for jobs with one-click, have much more visibility of your consultant and shortlist jobs you’d like to apply for later. The site was built with social media in mind so it’s a much friendlier place to be and one where you can quickly see what’s happening across all of our social channels.

December

Success in Recruiter HOT 100 charts

Recognition in the industry benchmark Recruiter HOT 100 charts announced in December saw PSR jump a very respectable 50 places against our previous position in the 2015 rankings. In addition, PSR featured in the Top Ten Technical and Engineering recruiters for 2016 and received a placing of position 8 in the Productivity Top 20!

Q4 Net Promoter Scores

The cherry on the cake for us this year was the results of our Q4 NPS scores. After the launch of the PSR Customer Charter earlier in the year we ran a customer satisfaction exercise which was repeated in Q4. We are extremely proud to report a jump from 59 to 81! For us this represents a culmination of the significant investment in our resources, staff and service level that each and every one of the PSR team has contributed to throughout 2016.

Not ones to rest on our laurels, our ongoing plans and objectives for the next 10-years gives us plenty to improve upon in 2017…
