Empowering Women in Engineering

Just last month, a selected 17 people from PSR were treated to a long weekend in the busy city of Dublin. This was due to a PSR incentive that was released 12 months ago to inspire the team to strive towards excellence as we embarked on our 10 year plan.
The lucky individuals that made it on to the trip had to be over-target in order to get their boarding passes. In addition to this, two nominated support staff were offered the opportunity to attend.
While the over-target consultants were brought up on stage to receive their boarding passes at PSR’s 2017 End of Year Conference in London. All support staff were invited on stage for the special announcement…
Managing Director, James Sanders took the mic and went around the room asking who the team thought was worthy of this prestigious incentive.
“It was a very hard decision, but… you’re all going!” he announced…
I can only liken the response to this like the film ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ when Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) announced that he would not be leaving the business after being under investigation by the police. It was truly incredible.
The team stayed at the luxurious Morrison Hotel right in the city centre. On arrival, the team headed over to the famous Guinness Tour for some light education as to how the beer is made and to visit the iconic ‘sky bar’ that is offered once you reach the top of the building.
The team enjoy learning about the origins of Guinness and a few drinks in the ‘Sky Bar’.
The afternoon of day 1 was spent at the team’s leisure... Visiting the local sights, shops and pubs before heading over to the ‘Fire’ restaurant for a first-class meal and multiple drinks that followed.
Day two was spent cycling around the city with a tour guide who taught us a little more about what makes Dublin so special.
Did you now that Dublin literally means ‘black pool’ if it is translated? - We didn’t either!
Some of the many sights we saw were:
The remainder of the afternoon was spent at the team’s own leisure again before heading over to the Aviva stadium for Robbie Williams’ ‘The Heavy Entertainment Tour’. The event boasted some of Robbie’s most famous tracks and the team thoroughly enjoyed singing along and paying tribute to all those that have suffered at the hands of terrorism over the past few months with the song ‘Strong’ where Robbie changed the chorus to:
“You know that we’re strong… We’re still singing our songs”
The remainder of the night was spent back at the lively pubs in the city centre, celebrating another successful year as a member of the PSR team and the many more to follow.
The incentive doesn’t stop here… PSR will be celebrating the elite performers later in the year by sending our top two Permanent and top two Freelance Recruiters along with one member of the support team who has exceeded expectations throughout the year to Dubai! Watch this space and stay tuned for round 2 of PSR’s Elite Sales Conference.
