I have had the pleasure of launching the first module on PSR’s in house management development programme, Aspirational Leaders. Aspirational Leaders has been designed to develop key first line manager skills and behaviours necessary to improve personal and team productivity and staff retention.
As Construction Recruitment specialists, one of PSR’s core aims is to maintain and continue to build on its enduring position of "leading the way in construction recruitment".
Designing high-quality training programs for these people are notoriously difficult to create and maintain. They’re typically set up as one or two-day courses, and trainees return to the shop floor with little or no follow-up. With ALP we are aiming for much more than the average. The programme contains a mix of trainer led workshops with practical coaching and mentoring to ensure all of our aspiring managers can experience skills and techniques in their everyday business setting. Future PSR Managers will experience what it’s like to lead people, develop their Management persona, and hone their communication and development skills before they are promoted to team leader.
This year’s ALP Programme will see 7 carefully selected managers from the business; attend 3 mandatory and 2 optional courses over a 4- 6 month period. PSR is also offering its programmes out on the open market and can support its construction clients who may need Management and Leadership support.
