Development Roadmap

At PSR we support you through every stage of your career journey with the training and development you need to be successful in your role. You will receive ongoing training and coaching within your team and discipline and this is complemented by courses and work delivered by our training team, often in conjunction with operational managers and directors. Our Talent Development Roadmap is in place to guide you through a long and rewarding career with PSR, beginning with recruitment basics right through to management and director-level training.

Career Development

PSR is a sales focused environment, but whether or not you have experience in this area or have worked in recruitment before, you’ll receive comprehensive market training when you start and throughout your career with us.
At consultant-level you will have an interview with your manager and the managing director of the business, along with a few short tests to check you’re right for us and we’re right for you.
Working at PSR is target-driven and we aim to develop a strong performance culture in which leaders recognise and reward professionalism as well as results. We aim to attract a diverse range of employees and selection for training & promotion is always based on merit.

Induction training

In-Business Core Training
This six-month modular course will help you grasp basic recruitment skills and develop your commercial acumen. The training is very interactive, ranging from classroom style sessions, leading discussions, group exercises and role plays, delivered within the context of freelance or permanent recruitment.

Learning Events & Power Sessions
Throughout the year, whatever level of experience you have, you’ll be able to attend short impactful workshops that are focused on developing core recruitment, sales and management competencies. Topics include, negotiation, gaining commitment, Tetramap behavioural styles and strategic client development.

Leadership Development

If you join us in a leadership position, we will automatically enrol you on our newly launched modular management programme, Precision Leadership.  This programme has been designed to hone the development of key skills required by leaders to manage themselves, lead others and to lead the business at various stages in a manager’s development. It enables leaders to apply behavioural science to create and maintain high performing recruitment teams.
