Alex Whisker

My career in recruitment began on my 21st Birthday, a long time ago now! 2 weeks holiday cover in a Trades and Labour team…here I am now, still in recruitment, enjoying it and still have the same passion when I make a placement. I’ve worked across several sectors during this time; Construction Build (freelance), Trades & Labour and Social Housing.
I joined PSR Solutions in August 2020 to help build upon an already well established and successful Construction Build Division. A year into the business and I'm now the Business Unit Director for the Leeds Office which provides Trades & Labour, freelance and permanent solutions to the Construction sector across the Yorkshire region. I was also nominated for our Living in Our Values award at our End of Year Conference 2021.

I’ve spent the past 6 years recruiting experienced freelance Construction staff. During this time, I’ve developed long standing relationships with clients and candidates, which has been built upon trust, integrity, and honesty. This approach has resulted in repeat business year after year and new business upon the back of my core values.

My achievements outside of work have been mainly in the sporting world (before becoming a Dad), and have all been whilst playing Rugby Union; player of the season, top try scorer and Yorkshire trials to name a few. Aside from a busy family life, I'm either going far too fast downhill on a mountain bike, or walking up many of the mountains in the Lake District.
