Darren Cadwallander

I'm a recruiter by day and singer / songwriter by night. I joined PSR in 2017 and within the first six months I bagged myself a trip to Marbella after coming in the top 3 billers over target as a trainee within the period allocated. I have since gone on to have two further promotions and have a place booked onto the Dubrovnik incentive trip with PSR. I have also been nominated for multiple awards within the business.

Outside of work, I am either writing new music, practicing with the band, gigging, going on long walks in the peak district or going on a crazy adventure, watching football, or having a beer or both at the same time. Within my music career, I have most recently headlined the o2 academy in Sheffield with my band. I've had 3 songs in the charts, 1 of which reached number 1 in the Rock Charts. My tracks have been played on numerous BBC Radio stations and other regional and national stations and I have interviewed and attended sessions with these stations all over the country.

My journey to PSR including my completing a Degree in Exercise Sport & Science at Leeds Beckett University where I received a 2:1. I initially wanted to be a teacher but after a quick stint working in a school and looking at the levels of pay I changed my mind and opted to go onto a graduate scheme for a company selling Solar Panels. Within the 2 years I worked there, I went to South Africa for 6 weeks to train new staff within the role of Account Manager.

I joined PSR Solutions as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant and now work as a Senior Recruitment Consultant overseeing managerial and technical placements on both a permanent and freelance basis with Tier 1 and regional construction contractors within Yorkshire and the Northeast region. I pride myself on my people skills, ambition, confidence, determination, and attention to detail and personally enjoy the business development aspect of the business. I love working with new clients and getting them onto PSL’s, whilst helping PSR grow as a company.
