Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager
This is a key commercial role where you will take ownership of your own projects and work closely with our Contract Managers to ensure successful delivery.
The Role
You will lead the commercial performance of assigned projects, maintaining strong cost control, ensuring compliance, and supporting excellent client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all commercial aspects of projects, including procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Ensuring accurate cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting
- Working closely with Contract Managers, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Identifying and implementing process improvements and commercial best practice
- Supporting compliance with all relevant regulatory, contractual, and safety standards
About You
- Proven experience within the construction industry (experience in Passive Fire Protection is advantageous but not essential)
- Background in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- Good working knowledge of construction contracts (JCT and/or NEC preferred)
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach to work
