PSR Solutions is working with a well-established painting and decorating contractor operating across London and the South East. The business specialises in high-quality commercial painting, heritage restoration, and specialist decorative finishes, delivering projects for a wide range of clients including architects, local authorities, education, healthcare, and private sector organisations.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple painting and decorating projects and play a key role in maintaining high standards of delivery and client satisfaction.

Role Description

This is a full-time, site-based role for a Contracts Manager responsible for the successful delivery of commercial painting and decorating projects. You will oversee contracts from pre-start through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The role involves managing client relationships, coordinating site teams and subcontractors, monitoring costs and programmes, and ensuring full compliance with specifications, industry standards, and Health & Safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing multiple painting and decorating contracts across live projects

• Overseeing budgets, cost control, and programme delivery

• Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery

• Coordinating site managers, supervisors, and subcontractors

• Ensuring works are delivered in line with specifications and quality expectations

• Monitoring Health & Safety compliance across all projects

• Identifying and resolving project issues proactively

• Maintaining strong client relationships and driving repeat business

• Producing reports on progress, costs, and performance

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Contracts Manager role within painting & decorating or construction

• Strong commercial awareness with experience in budgeting and cost control

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships

• Good knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and Health & Safety compliance

• Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in project management tools and relevant software

• Degree or qualification in construction management or a related field is advantageous

• Experience delivering commercial or high-profile projects is beneficial
