PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established and growing specialist contractor based in Bermondsey.

Our client delivers a range of construction and refurbishment projects across London and has built a strong reputation for quality, client service, and technical expertise. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of projects and progress within a supportive and expanding business.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects across London, ensuring costs are effectively controlled and contractual obligations are met.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing project costs from pre-construction through to final account.
• Preparing and submitting valuations, applications for payment, and variations.
• Procurement and management of subcontract packages.
• Producing cost reports and forecasting project performance.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
• Negotiating subcontractor accounts and agreeing final accounts.
• Maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and project teams.
• Supporting the delivery of projects in line with programme and budget requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of commercial and contractual processes.
• Experience managing subcontractor packages and project accounts.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently whilst contributing to a wider team environment.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Desirable

• Experience within passive fire protection, fire stopping, or specialist fit-out packages.
• Knowledge of JCT contracts.
