Senior Design Manager - Freelance - Yorkshire
Currently partnered with a key client who requires a Senior Design Manager to work on an upcoming project.
Offering the opportunity to take full ownership of the design process and work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the design process, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards

Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and integrate design solutions

Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and documentation

Monitor design risks, costs, and programme impacts, providing regular updates to senior management

Facilitate design reviews, workshops, and coordination meetings
-
Support procurement and tender processes as required
-
Ensure smooth handover of design information to construction and operational teams
Requirements:
-
Proven experience as a Design Manager at a Tier 1
-
Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
-
Strong knowledge of design standards, building regulations, and construction processes
-
Excellent leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
-
Ability to work independently and deliver to tight deadlines
