A nursing home in the Kilmarnock area has an exciting opportunity for an experienced RGN, RMN or RNLD Registered Nurse to join the team as Deputy Nurse Manager.

Details of this Deputy Nurse Manager position and what the home is offering:

• A permanent contract, working full-time 40 hours per week on day shifts
• 22 hours working on the floor providing clinical care and 18 hours supernumerary
• Competitive salary of £50,000 per annum

• Participation in the home's on-call rota

As Deputy Nurse Manager your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the service
• Providing clinical leadership and working alongside the nursing and care teams
• Delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents
• Undertaking clinical assessments, care planning and risk assessments
• Administering and overseeing medication management
• Supervising, mentoring and developing Nurses and Care Assistants
• Supporting audits, inspections and ensuring compliance with Care Inspectorate standards
• Acting as part of the on-call management rota

Applicants for this Deputy Nurse Manager position should meet the following criteria:

• NMC registered Adult General Nurse (RGN), Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD)
• Previous experience in a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead or Senior Nurse position
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a clinical team
• Good knowledge of Care Inspectorate standards and nursing home regulations
• Excellent communication, organisational and clinical skills
• A compassionate and person-centred approach to care
