The Role

A leading M&E contractor is looking to appoint an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major project in the East Midlands.

The project has an M&E value in excess of £40m, so this is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with experience managing the commercial aspects of large-scale M&E projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial delivery of the M&E package
• Cost control, forecasting and reporting
• Managing variations, valuations and final accounts
• Subcontract procurement and management
• Cost/value reconciliation and financial reporting
• Managing commercial risk and contractual obligations
• Working closely with the Project and Commercial teams to ensure successful project delivery

Requirements

• Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor
• Experience working on large-scale M&E projects, ideally £40m+ in value
• Strong knowledge of M&E subcontracting and commercial management
• Experience managing variations, valuations, procurement and final accounts
• Strong contractual and commercial awareness
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
