PSR Solutions are working with a leading regional construction contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for a major project in Southampton.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a financially robust business with a substantial secured workload, delivering projects across the public sector, education, healthcare, defence, and commercial markets. The successful candidate will initially play a key role on a significant new-build development, with a strong pipeline of future regional projects offering long-term career stability and progression.

The business is open to considering experienced Quantity Surveyors looking to step up, as well as established Senior Quantity Surveyors who can bring strong commercial expertise to the team.

The Role

• Commercially manage a major new-build construction project valued at circa £30 million.
• Administration and management of NEC contracts.
• Procurement and management of multiple subcontractor packages.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and valuation processes.
• Variation management and commercial risk mitigation.
• Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
• Support and mentor junior commercial team members.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience administering NEC contracts.
• Experience managing multiple subcontract packages on medium to large-scale projects.
• Background in commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, defence, or similar construction sectors.
• Experience with steel-frame, industrial, warehouse, groundwork or large new-build projects would be highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ideally based within a commutable distance of Southampton.
