Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Car/Allowance + Package

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to become part of our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of building and civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget while maximising value and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
The role will involve:
- Preparing, maintaining, and reviewing detailed project cost estimates and budgets.
- Managing the full commercial process from initial enquiry through to final account settlement.
- Producing accurate monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) for senior management.
- Monitoring project costs and implementing effective cost control strategies to improve financial performance.
- Preparing and administering contract documentation, including bills of quantities and scopes of work.
- Reviewing and negotiating contract terms to ensure compliance with company procedures and legal requirements.
- Managing applications for payment and responding promptly to payment notices to support project cash flow.
- Handling client enquiries professionally and providing timely commercial support.
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Supporting the development of junior and intermediate Quantity Surveyors through mentoring and guidance.
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related discipline.
- Previous experience in quantity surveying or cost management within the civil engineering sector (preferred).
- A solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant legislation.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience working with NEC contracts.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate within a team environment.
