General Foreman - Civil Engineering
Various UK Sites
Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Projects
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Foreman to work across a range of major infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site operations
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, plant, and materials
- Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance
- Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and inspections
- Work closely with Site Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery
- Monitor progress and resolve on-site issues proactively
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and RAMS
Requirements
- Previous experience as a General Foreman within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of highways, drainage, utilities, earthworks, or structures
- SMSTS/SSSTS certification
- CSCS Card
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors on busy construction sites
Desirable
- Temporary Works Supervisor
- First Aid at Work
- Experience working under NEC contracts
- CPCS plant tickets or civil engineering qualifications
