PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Project Manager in London/Kent. This will be working for a reputable contractor within the Civils industry. They are seeking people with earthworks, enabling works and groundworks experience. More information below!
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of civil construction projects from award through to completion. This includes planning, commercial management, programme control, team leadership, client liaison, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Take full responsibility for project planning, execution, and delivery
Lead and manage Site Agents, Sub Agents, Engineers, Foremen, and support staff
Establish clear project objectives, roles, and performance expectations
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
Develop, manage, and monitor construction programmes
Ensure effective sequencing of works and resource planning
Monitor progress and implement corrective actions where required
Chair and attend progress meetings
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
Identify, assess, and manage variations and claims
Control procurement, subcontractor agreements, and supplier contracts
Maximise project profitability while maintaining quality and safety
Take overall responsibility for project HSE performance
Ensure safety policies, procedures, and systems are implemented
Promote a strong safety-first culture across all project teams
Ensure compliance with statutory and client safety requirements
Ensure works meet contractual, technical, and quality requirements
Oversee QA systems, inspections, and testing
Ensure accurate project documentation and records are maintained
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Manage client communications, reporting, and expectations
Resolve issues, disputes, and technical challenges efficiently
Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil construction or infrastructure
Strong technical understanding of civil works (earthworks, drainage, pavements, concrete, services)
Solid knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management
Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Relevant professional or industry accreditation
Safety certifications (WHS / CSCS or equivalent)
Experience delivering projects under major contracts (NEC, FIDIC, AS, etc.)
Accountable and results-driven
Safety and quality focused
Commercially astute
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
