Agent / Sub Agent - Groundworks, Civils & Infrastructure

Salary: £65,000 - £72,000 + package

PSR Solutions is working with a well-established civil engineering contractor, specialising in groundworks, civils, and infrastructure works across major residential and infrastructure projects. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, our client is seeking an experienced Agent to support the successful delivery of site operations.

The Role

As Sub Agent, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of groundworks and civil engineering works, supporting the Agent and Contracts Manager to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.

This is a site-based role offering long-term stability and the opportunity to work on technically challenging civils schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the team in managing site activities for groundworks and infrastructure projects

• Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors

• Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and construction programmes

• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and environmental compliance

• Assist with short-term planning, lookahead programmes, and method statements

• Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Monitor quality, productivity, and progress of works on site

• Assist in managing site documentation, permits, and site records

• Support the resolution of technical and construction issues

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sub Agent or Senior Site Engineer within groundworks, civil engineering, or infrastructure

• Strong technical knowledge of drainage, roads, earthworks, and associated civils packages

• SMSTS and CSCS required

• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills

• Full UK driving licence
