I started my HR career as part of the pre-opening HR team at Marriot Leicester before moving to Dreams as a HR Controller. This built both my knowledge and experience within the hospitality and manufacturing sectors before joining PSR in 2014.
As a HR Director, I assist with the implementation of HR policies to ensure the business is in line with best practice (and/or market practice) and that it complies with its legal obligations. This covers recruitments,employee relations, performance management, absence management, pay and benefits and job evaluation. I work closely with the leadership team to develop and deliver the business strategy that will enable PSR to maximise the value derived from its investment in people, as well as undertaking all Health & Safety within the offices alongside ISO 45001 & CHAS.
There are so many amazing aspects of my role, but my proudest achievements to date are: supporting all seven offices with mental health and wellbeing through various support mechanisms and most recently taking part in a pilot scheme for Mind, navigating COVID, and achieving Investors in People Platinum. I achieved my level 7 CIPD through attendance at Derby Open University whilst working full time.
Outside of work you'll find me on my Peloton bike, jogging or spending time with my friends and family.
